Flow velocity and flow measurement device JIS type Pitot tube (F-202)
The Pitot tube has a long history as an instrument for measuring the speed of aircraft.
It is the most theoretically superior and reliable method for mechanically measuring the flow rate of gases and liquids. The flow rate within a pipe can also be determined from the pipe's cross-sectional area and average flow velocity. The tip of a standard Pitot tube has a total pressure port, and a static pressure port on the side. By inserting the Pitot tube into the flow pipe as shown in the diagram, the difference between total pressure and static pressure, that is, dynamic pressure, is measured with a manometer, and the flow velocity is calculated using the following formula.
